Flowers Blooming

Another day another blog :)
To make this card I used Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4, Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, a rose stamp and my pro markers.
To start this card I first cut two base mats, one in silver mirror card and the next one in a plain white card stock.
I then used the larger Label from the Elegant Rectangles to cut the next layer in a soft green card stock. I then cut the second size label in white card stock.
One I cut this layer out I stamped my image onto this label, once I choose which colours to use I coloured my image with my Pro-Markers.
I then stamped my Happy Birthday sentiment on a small piece of white card and cut it out using a die from SB Resplendent Rectangles.
I hope you all like today’s card.

Pretty Amazing

Morning everyone, I hope you are all well.
For this card I used Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders 1 and a Marianne flower die.
First I cut a mat out of a white piece of card stock. I then cut another piece of white card stock a little smaller than before, I then used the SB A2 Scalloped Borders 1 and placed it on an uphill angle on this piece of card to cut. Once I had cut this I took the top half of the card and embossed it with a floral embossing folder.
I cut a piece of patterned paper that was the same size as my second white mat started and laid it behind the top embossed piece of white card.
I then cut out three flowers using my Marianne flower die and then punched out nine flowers using a flower punch. I placed these across the cut border line so that they flowed upwards.
To finish this card I added a patterned ribbon along the near bottom of the card.
I think that this really finished the card.

Birthday Bear

And heres today's blog.

For this card I used Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, a forever friends stamp and again my Pro Markers.
I first cut two rectangle mats, one in gold mirror card and one out of a white card stock. I then cut the largest die from SB Resplendent Rectangles in a dusty lilac card.
Next I cut out the next size down of the dies in white card and also cut the smallest die out of white card. I stamped my sentiment in the smaller of the white dies and my Forever friends stamp in the larger white die.
I selected the colours I needed and then coloured my stamped image using my pro markers working from darkest colour to lightest. I cut a mat to go behind my sentiment in the same dusty pink card used on the largest of the die cut mats.
I really like how this turned out, what do you all think?

Polka Rose

Morning everyone, heres another blog.
For this card I used Spellbinders Adorning Squares, a polka dot embossing folder and a topper from Kanban Vintage tapestry.
First I made two layers the first one out of an Ivory card and the second from a white card. I then embossed the white layer using a polka dot embossing folder.
Next I used a die from SB Adorning Squares to create a mat from a Rose pink card. I centred this onto my white card. I then took my topper from Kanban Vintage tapestry and placed it in the centre of my cut square.
To finish this card a punched four flowers using the same colour card stock as used for my square and places them in the corners of my white card.
I think that this is a simple card that works really well.

Lilac Flutter

Good morning everyone!
This was a little bit of an experiment to see what I could do that was a little different from my other cards.
To make this card I used a butterfly stamp, an X-Cut die, Pro-Markers and one of my EK punches. I first cut two layers of white card. On the smaller of the layers I took a piece of card that I had left over from using a butterfly punch in an earlier project and used this as a stencil. I used Tim Holtz Victorian velvet distress ink to create my butterfly background.
Next I used two different sizes of X-Cut dies, the larger size I cut in a lilac card stock and the smaller one I cut out in a white card stock. I embossed my lilac layer using a butterfly embossing folder.
I then stamped my butterfly image on the white mat cut using the X-Cut die and coloured it using my Pro-Markers again.
I then stamped my sentiment on a piece of white card. I knew that this sentiment was the same width as my EK punch that I wanted to use. I used my punch to punch above and below the sentiment. Next I did the same only without the stamped sentiment with a piece of lilac card. I made this slightly bigger than the stamped sentiment mat.
To finish this card I added gems to the bottom right and top left of the card.
I hope that you all like the end product.

Swan Song

Morning everyone. For my card today I have used SB Elegant Labels 4 and a Joy double swan die.
First I cut the two large labels out in a plain white card stock; once I had cut them I then embossed them. I left the labels in the dies and inked through them with the faded jeans Tim Holtz distress ink.
In the smaller of the labels die’s I stamped my ‘Congratulations’ sentiment at the top in a permanent black ink.
Next I cut out and embossed my two swans. I placed these below my sentiment and so that they were facing each other.
Once I had layered all my elements together I matted it onto a slightly larger piece of white card stock to finish the card.
I am really pleased with this card and think it would make a lovely wedding card. I hope that you all like it.

Butterfly Garden

Good morning again everyone.
To make this card I used an X-Cut die. A Kanban topper and sentiment and a couture creations embossing folder called all a flutter.
First I cut a mat out of a plain piece of white card stock, then I cut a piece of patterned purple swirl paper that I had from another project. I next cut another piece of white card and embossed this using my couture creations all a flutter embossing folder.
I then used an X-Cut die to cut out the scalloped oval layer for my topper to sit on. The card stock used for the scalloped oval, the topper and the sentiment all came from my Kanban Vintage Tapestry kit.
I positioned my sentiment in the bottom right corner of this card. To finish the card and help balance the design I then added a purple gem to each remaining corner.

A Card For You

Morning again all.
To make this card I used SB Timeless Rectangles, Pro markers and a Kanban rose stamp.
I started with cutting out two mats first a red one and then a slightly smaller black one. I than stamped my rose out onto a piece of white card and used my Pro markers to colour it. I stamped my sentiment onto another little piece of white card. I then used the largest and the smallest die from my SB Timeless Rectangles.
I ran a piece of white ribbon through the back of my sentiment and behind my black layer of card.
I really think that the combination of the white, black and red card makes it pop out. I hope you like it.

Love Layers

Good Morning everyone.
To make this card I used SB Elegant labels, SB Radiant Rectangles an X cut die and a Creative expressions sentiment stamp.
I first cut a mat of silver matt mirror card. Then in a white card I cut out the largest of the labels from SB elegant labels 4.Next I used the largest die from SB Radiant rectangles to cut a mat out of red card< I also cut a red mat using the second smaller die from this die set.
Then using the largest die and the embossing frame that fits with it I cut my next layer out of white card. I places the smaller red mat on top of this and then used the smaller frame die to cut out my next layer, I embossed the smaller oval frame it to this layer.
Finally I stamped my creative expressions onto white card using a sticky ink and used a tinsel red embossing powder. I then cut this shape out using an X Cut die.

I hope you have a great day and I will see you at my next blog. :)

Red Daze

Morning again everyone.
To make this card I first cut a mat out of a red card stock, next in a matt silver mirror card I cut out the largest of the labels from SB Elegant labels 4.
I next embossed a 5 by 4 piece of white card to be my next layer; I used a corner rounder on this also.
I then used a flower stamp to get my image, then for the first time I used my Pro Markers to colour the image. Once I had done this I used a Marianne die to cut around it and placed this on top of my embossed white card.
I then stamped my sentiment on a piece of white card and cut it out using the smallest die from SB Timeless Rectangles.
Hope you all have great day.

Well wishes

Morning Everyone
To make this card I first made a 8 by 8 mat using Ivory card, next I got a piece of white card and cut it a quarter of a inch smaller then the Ivory card. Next I cut out another piece of Ivory card at 6 by 6; again I cut a white piece of card a quarter of an inch smaller.
Next I used three of the border dies from SB A2 Scalloped Borders 1 on my smaller white mat. I then cut a piece of green patterned paper the same size as my white layer started and laid it in-between my Ivory and white layers.
I then used my creative expressions sentiment stamp to create my greeting and then stamped an order around it. Next I cut this out using an X Cut die.
To finish this card I added an Ivory bow and a pearl in each corner of the smaller mat.
Hope all you bloggers have great day.

Punch Play

Hi everyone.
This card was a bit of an experiment really I wanted to see what I could make out of other tools I had not just ready to use dies.
First like starting many cards I cut out a mat of white card, next I cut out another layer using do-craft paper just a fraction smaller than my white mat.
I picked out a Kanban topper from their language of flowers paper-crafting kit that matched the colours in my paper.
To make the layers that my topper would sit on I used some silver mirror card and an EK border punch. This was the challenge for this card turning a border punch into a frame punch. To do this I lined up the edge of my mirror card to a marker on my punch and cut, I then as normal mover the card along and punched a second time. Once I had done this I turned the card and again lined up the edge of the mirror card to the marker on my punch and repeated as above. Once you have done this you should have an indication of where you need to cut your card to enable you to do the other two sides of your square. Once I had cut all the sides of the square I carefully cut away the little squares left in the corners. I then repeated this a second time so that I had two squares that I could layer together to form a star shape. Instructions on how to do this with your punches can be found by looking on you tube for ‘making frames with your border punch.’ Of course as with most cards I finished this one off by adding silver gems to the corners.
I am really pleased with what a single border punch can create and cannot wait to try this with other border punches.

vintage crush

Hi Everyone thought i would add a little bit of a mix of shine and vintage with this one.
I first cut a 5 by 7 piece of white card to be my base mat, i then cut i piece of gold mirror card that was the tiniest bit smaller
I used the largest label from Spellbinders 5*7 Elegant labels in a dusky purple card, then the second label from a brown pattern card in the Kanban Vintage tapestry kit.

To finish this card i added a topper again from the Kanban Vintage tapestry kit. I used this topper as i thought it went really well with the Elegant labels 4 that i used for this card.

I hope that you all like it, hought it was about time i tried this vintage look that i so big t the moment. xoxo

Clear sky's

Morning again everyone. You guessed it back to my 5*7 Elegant Labels 4 today :)
I made this card to match the beautiful sky that was out today.
I started by cutting a white mat around 5 by 7 in size. I then cut the two of the largest labels out and embossed them. I then kept them in the dies and distressed them using Tim Holtz faded jeans.

I then used a Creative Expressions Kindest thoughts stamp again i stamped it with a sticky ink. I then used a sky blue embossing powder to tie the sentiment in colour wise with the rest of the card.

As the finishing touches for this card i punched out three large flowers and three smaller flowers. I distressed the larger flowers but left the smaller ones white so that i could place them in the middle of the larger flowers and they would stand out.

I really am pleased with this card, Its amazing how a bit of sunshine can effect the cards that you make. Hope you like it, take care xoxo

Deeply Yours

Morning Everyone. I stepped away from my Elegant Labels 4 for this one so I hope that it works.
to make this I first cut a bottom mat out of Ivory card, next I cut a slightly smaller piece of white card, then i again cut anothe piece of Ivory card only leaving a bit of a larger border around it.
Then I cut a piece of white card again only just smaller than the Ivory mat under it.
I then used Spellbinders Adorning Squares to emboss only the larger of the dies.

I then used one of the smaller Adorning Squares to create a base for my sentiment. I again used a Creative Expressions Kindest thoughts stamp and a black ink to make the sentiment.

I placed the sentiment in the middle of the embossed larger adorning squares and raised it slightly using pin plair.
To finish it off i added a little cosmic shimmer pearl drop in each corner.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Have a great day xoxo

Pink flutter

Hi Everyone, sorry I went quiet for a few days but now I am back. Here is one of my latest cards, I think I was having a butterfly day.
To make this i first cut a base of white card around 5 by 7.
Then I cut out the two largest frames using Spellbinders 5*7 Elegent Labels 4. Once i had cut and then embossed these i kept them in there dies and used Tim Holtz milled lavender to distress around the edges of these labels.

I used two different butterfly punches to punch out three large butterflies  and six mini butterflies. to place around the smaller of the labels.

I then used a Creative expressions Kindest thoughts stamp to stamp the sentiment, i did this using a sticky int and then used a eggplant embossing powder to tie in with the colours used throughout this card.

I hope that you like it and would love to read any comments. xoxo
